How Teckmart started
Teckmart began in 2021 in Napier Town, Jabalpur, after we rebuilt a coaching institute’s website from scratch when the previous freelancer went quiet mid-project and took the domain login with him. That specific failure — not a business plan, not a pitch deck — is why the studio exists.
The institute’s owner had paid a marketplace freelancer ₹12,000 for a five-page site. Six months in, the freelancer stopped answering messages, the site broke after a hosting renewal lapsed, and nobody could log into the domain registrar to fix it. We rebuilt the site in eleven days, registered everything fresh in the owner’s own name, and handed over every login in writing. That handover document became the template we still use today.
Word travelled the way it does in a city this size — one coaching institute to another, one CA firm to a banquet hall down the road. By 2023 we’d stopped taking work outside Jabalpur and Madhya Pradesh entirely, because specialising in one city’s search behaviour beats spreading thin across ten cities we don’t know as well.
